Hey there! My name is Ryan Michael Kannett II. I was born an only child to Michelle Anne and Ryan Michael Kannett (the first). Because I had no siblings, I did have the pleasure of being a tad bit spoiled. Instead of asking for any of the electronic gadgets that kids these days want my only requests were for unforgettable life experiences through travel. And because I was an only child, and my father worked as an engineer, my parents could afford to grant me this wish many times over.

In high school, I did a semester in Italy, and another in Japan. I visited New Zealand during college, and studied several different languages so that I could be fluent in the native tongue each country I planned to visit. My favorites were, at first, the 'romance' languages such as Spanish, French, and Italian. But after school I was preparing for a trip to Amsterdam and took a class to learn Dutch, when I actually learned the true meaning of romance. The teacher of this class, Dani absolutely stole my heart. On a whim, I invited her to travel to Amsterdam with me.

This Friday marks our 7 year wedding anniversary. We plan to have children in another 7 -- or 17 -- once we're satisfied with our freedom. There are still so many places to see, and so many things to experience in this fine world!
